The fastest and strongest gypsy brass band in the world, Fanfare Chiocarlia is representing the current gypsy music and boasting huge popularity.
The gypsy brass sound was attracted attention in the movie "Underground" (the 1995 Grand Prix of Cannes Film Festival) and "Black Cat , White Cat" and has been continuing to increase fans.
Fanfare Chiocarlia is from the cold village of Zece Prajini in northeastern Romania. The group spends most of the year on tours and travel around the world, especially in Europe.
From traditional music to popular music, they will play whatever music they like listening on the radio in their own style. Their music, full of intense individuality, speeding and sensation of excitement that you will not forget once you listen, is enthusiastically welcomed wherever they go.
This has been introduced in their documentary film “Brass on Fire” (2002) and the US Tour “When the Road Bends: Tales of a Gypsy Caravan” (2006) with five gypsy bands.
Visited Japan five times since the first visit in 2000. In 2014, They also appeared in "Fuji Rock". And there is a 6th tour to Japan in this summer of 2019, first visit to Toyohashi and PLAT in July!
With 11 trumpet, saxophone, tuba, clarinet, horn and percussion, a charming belly dancer Nourah will be invited as a guest and the stage will be immensely rich.
This is a 16 minute acoustic live video of Fanfare Chiocarlia, who appeared in a program "Tiny Desk Concert" produced by NPR (formerly known as National Public Radio) in the United States.

We will also invite music critic Shinichi Ogawa as a talk guest to talk about the attractiveness of their performance.
